Biography

For over fifteen years, Mr. Andrade has served in various capacities with the federal government.  Most recently, Mr. Andrade was selected to serve as Director of U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services’ (USCIS) newly opening Nashville Field Office.  Prior to this, Mr. Andrade served as a Section Chief in the Los Angeles, CA Field Office, where he managed the operational and administrative functions for both Adjustment and Naturalization.  Mr. Andrade also served within Service Center Operations, both as an Adjudications Officer for USCIS Headquarters, where he oversaw a variety of employment-based portfolios and reviewed proposed legislation under various Comprehensive Immigration Reform proposals, as well as adjudicating many employment and family based form types at the California Service Center.  In addition to his government experience, from 2006-2010, Mr. Andrade served as the Director of Academic and International Services at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, in La Jolla, California.  In this role, Mr. Andrade oversaw a wide variety of policy and procedural matters related to scientific Human Resources, and served as Salk’s Director over all immigration functions.
