Biography

Lindsey O’Connell is an experienced psychotherapist and behavioral health executive. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Mind Body Wellness, an integrated behavioral health and wellness center, and owns a private counseling and coaching practice. Lindsey has worked in clinical settings spanning the entire continuum of care for behavioral health and previously served as Clinical Supervisor of the Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program. Her clinical practice continues to focus on assisting licensed professionals in attaining optimal wellness and mental health.

Lindsey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Lindsey’s approach to counseling utilizes elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic and attachment-focused eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based strategies. She is also a certified Veterinary Social Worker, focusing on animal assisted therapy and utilizing the human-animal bond to promote healing. Lindsey came to the mental health field with extensive experience in advocacy and government relations, which informs her current community-based work in mental health education.
