Orders of Protection for the Immigrant Victims

Description: This seminar will cover the basics of orders of protection with an emphasis on unique issues facing immigrant victims of domestic violence. We will also focus on working with interpreters, cultural competency and tailoring the order to get evidence for immigration relief.

In exchange for attending this CLE program free of charge, attendees will accept one pro bono case by January 12, 2013. After this date attendees who have not accepted a pro bono case will be invoiced for the course fees. If you have any questions about the required pro bono service, please contact Sarah Hayman at 615-383-7421. The pro bono agreement will be emailed to you the day of the program; your credits will not be filed until the signed agreement is returned to the TBA

You may park in the Commerce Street Garage (corner of 3rd Avenue/Commerce St.). We will be validating parking tickets, so please make sure to bring your ticket!
