Meeting the New Social Security Challenges

Disability Law Forum (LIVE)
Description: Join us for 3.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education on May 18, 2012. Judge Donna Lefebvre who works for the Social Security Administration starts the agenda with views and practice pointers from both sides of the bench. Judge Lefebvre serves the Franklin ODAR and formerly served the Fargo ND ODAR after substantial experience as a Social Security Disability specialist attorney. Judge Lefebvre is followed by a session concerning legal representation after the favorable and unfavorable ALJ decision conducted by Peter Skeie. John Ketcherside then discusses interesting new developments including “mystery” ALJs and SSR 11-2p. The program concludes with an ethics section dealing largely but not exclusively with the Revised Rules of Conduct and Standards of Responsibility for Representation.
