This session offers insights for both the "new to elder law" attorney and experienced practitioners. In this segment we will look at the evolving role of palliative care in the larger health care system. Special focus on the role of advance care planning and its impact on patient care as well as innovative efforts in Knoxville concerning the Institute for Health Care Improvement's Conversation Ready Project. Dr. Gregory Phelps M.D MPH gives his thoughts on the Conversation about Final Days, Transitions, and Treatments for elderly patients.
