Appellate Practice

Appellate Practice Ethics

Description:

The Tennessee Supreme Court is unfamiliar territory for most lawyers. Opportunities to practice in this court are few and success requires skills of oral and written advocacy. This Ethics panel will discuss Ethical Issues in Appellate Litigation. They will discuss Duty of Candor with the Court, Limits of a Lawyer’s Ability to Criticize Courts and Judges, and Frivolous Appeals.
