Justice Programs 2015: Ethics: Defending the Indefensible

Throughout our Nation's history, lawyers have been called upon to defend the indefensible. Joe Riley will discuss the ethical obligations of counsel against the backdrop of the Dachua war trials. The trials were conducted entirely by American military personnel behind the walls of the former Dachau concentration camp. Co-presenting with Joe will be Doug T. Bates, III, son of Lt. Colonel Douglas Bates. Lt. Colonel Bates served as Defense Counsel in the Dachau trials.

By far the most interesting and thought provoking CLE I have ever attended. The subject was riveting, speakers earnest and while entertaining for historical purposes as well, it had a strong message for current practice as we all struggle with our duties, wins and losses as attorneys at time.

Very interesting!

Hon. Joe Riley is truly amazing.
