Tort and Insurance 2016: Medicare Reimbursement and the Secondary Payer Act

Description:

Medical reimbursement is probably one of the most frustrating types of liens an attorney has to deal with. The difficulty in dealing with Medicare subrogation is in how the Medicare Secondary Payer recovery process works in practice. This program will help attorneys understand this process so that they can work with the system instead of against it. The speaker will present an overview of Medicare Reimbursement and Secondary Payer System. Next he will go over taking Medicare’s Interests into Consideration: Mandatory Insurer Reporting. Then talk about Medicare Set-Aside Allocation, Approvals and Administration.
