Dispute Resolution

ADR 2016: Construction Dispute Mediation

Description:

The TBA Dispute Resolution Section has designed this seminar for both ADR professionals (mediators and arbitrators) and lawyers, in recognition that, while many mediator, arbitrator and advocacy skills apply despite the subject matter of the dispute, there are nuances for different cases that depend on the type of case being mediated or arbitrated. This presentation will include examples and comments on construction mediation with a focus on mediation situations where little or no discovery has occurred.

Loy is very good presenter with lots of credibility on this subject matter.

Good notation on problems representing insurance carriers in mediation. Great work.

I'm a young attorney with Rule 31 training. Mr. Waldrop provided some excellent strategies for mediators (in addition to attorneys going to mediation) I will certainly implement, or at least try out, when I begin mediating cases.

Not what I thought it was going to be.

The course went beyond basics of mediation and offered practical tips on dealing with common construction problems.

Pretty much confirmed what I already knew.
