Administrative Law: State Real Estate Legal Considerations

Description:

The first portion of this presentation will provide a history and background of the State of Tennessee Real Estate Asset Management Division of the Department of General Services, and of the State Building Commission, as well as the present structure and responsibilities of STREAM. The next section of the session will provide a general overview of State of Tennessee Real Estate Asset Management  (STREAM)leasing and real estate transaction processes. Leasing will cover State procurement including agency request, impact of AWS, advertising, lease and term negotiation, and approvals required.  Land transactions will cover acquisition and disposal processes, types of transactions, due diligence and approvals required.
