Attorney Sam Lipshie will discuss Right of Publicity in entertainment and sports law. He will start out talking about What is the Right of Publicity, then discuss the evolution of Right of Publicity, and then discuss several cases involving ROP, specifically the Marshall v. ESPN, Inc et al. This case involves current and former college basketball and football players bringing putative class action against conferences, networks, and licensors involved in broadcasting college sports games, alleging violation of their right to publicity under Tennessee law.
