  The Open Meetings Act requires certain meetings of certain public bodies to be open to the public. This session will discuss what lawyers need to know about the law and to whom it applies. The speaker will give an overview of the Tennessee Open Meetings Act required content of meeting notices, exceptions, and email communications. He will also discuss the Tennessee Public Records Act.

Local governments vary greatly in how they enforce these laws.
