Description: This introductory course covers basic use of the Fastcase system including basic login information and scope of coverage. From there, the course moves on to the use of basic Boolean operators and a demonstration of use of the most common operators. The course also provides instruction on the use of Fastcase’s specialty tools: Authority Check; Forecite; and Interactive Timeline. Finally, the presentation covers basic case law and statute searches. At the conclusion of the presentation, the course moves to the live web site where all the topics are demonstrated in real time. Throughout the session, registrants are given the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers.
