Federal Practice: Voir Dire and Jury Selection

Description:

The goal of voir dire is to find an unbiased jury that can impartially hear and return a verdict in the case being tried.  Voir dire, French for “to speak the truth,” is the process used in jury trials to ferret out the biases and prejudices that jurors bring with them when they appear for jury selection. In this presentation Attorney Donald Capparella, with more than 25 years of experience, will help you understand the legal framework surrounding the jury selection process and consider some of the tactics that make for good jury selection.
