Construction Law: Ethics in Licensing

Description:

This seminar will address issues of Tennessee’s strict and often misunderstood and ignored contractor’s licensing laws. Attorney Jerry Martin will be discussing the issues when a contractor has already engaged in construction work and then wants the attorney's assistance in obtaining a license.

Very good presentation. Interesting fact scenario.

Interesting presentation and examples.

Absolutely one of the best ethics presentations I have seen. Very practical and enjoyable.

Novel illustrations of ethical issues.

No materials. The discussion about the out of state roofer and the potentially fraudulent contractor's license application had an interesting observation about what the implications would have been with an organizational client, with an officer or employee making the disclosures. Not only should we decline it, we should advise our organizational client of the issue. The last story about the set up of Plaintiff's lawye taught me that practicing law in Florida can be rough.
