Are you in your first few years of practicing law? This new series will teach you skills you can apply in your everyday practice. This presentation will discuss best practices in keeping time, setting rates and billing.

In our discussion we will cover Rule 1.5 of the Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct. Topics include: ethical consideration of fee agreements, reasonableness of fees and expenses and terms of payment.

TBA Mentoring Program: The TBA Mentoring Program is designed to foster mutually beneficial relationships between the participating attorneys, reduce the isolation experienced by some beginning attorneys, improve the quality of legal services received by clients, place renewed emphasis on the importance of professionalism, and generally benefit the legal profession as a whole. Excellent presentation.

Great info for a new attorney!

Good presentation Tommy.

Keep up with billing and make sure that your fee agreements are clear in scope.

I learned about not cheating my clients or myself when keeping time. I was reminded to get details about fees in engagement letters.

Mr. Santel was a wonderful speaker and was very engaging. I found his advice to be very insightful, practical and applicable to everyday practice. He gave a lot of helpful tips and the presentation was very organized and to the point. I would highly encourage you to re-engage him for future presentations.

Enjoyable, practical advice. Presenter was personable and convincing.

Restarting my practice as a solo and this was helpful.

Very basic. Probably too basic for me, but it said it was for new laywers, so it was my mistake registering for it.

Great practical advice.

The practical tips were very helpful.
