Administrative Law: Mindfulness

Description:

The first part of the presentation will highlight some Apps that could help you rewire your brain in five minutes a day, develop kindness and compassion and support your professional achievement through the practices of Mindfulness. The second part is about making a change in your law practice. Whether you are affected by the stresses of maintaining a law practice, time management constraints, financial struggles, or rocky relationships at home, you can decide to make a change. This presentation will challenge you to embrace a "Jerry Maguire" moment, and achieve greater balance.

Ms. Griffin cracked me up. Mr. DeVries held my attention. An enjoyable hour.

Really good and thought-provoking.

All went well and it provided me the simple opportunity to think beyond myself.

Insightful and enjoyable. One of the best ethics courses I've taken.

This was a very different CLE than what I expected but very timely going into the new year. It gave practical insight on not simply being a better attorney but better overall.

Very interesting course given by two personable and effective presenters. Several practical lessons learned - apps for mindfulness, juggling, "A good daddy would help his son." Wow! Thanks!

I really enjoyed this presentation that was very spot on regarding the struggles of attorneys. The apps discussed were helpful.

It is essential to step back and find balance instead of putting everything into one's career and make sure to include time for family and health.

Recognized the importance of mindfulness, ways to achieve it, and example exercises to practice it daily.

Worth taking; reminds you as to family importance.

Frightening statistics on lawyers.... they did a great job.

This was absolutely the best CLE course I have EVER participated in.

This was an excellent presentation, and I would highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful presentation.

The first part was not helpful. The second part was awesome.

Excellent program. Very useful. This is a topic we need to focus on more as lawyers.

Loved this presentation.

Second speaker had charisma and wise words.

Not what I expected, but had some interesting info.

Some good suggestions.

Good presentation overall.

This class was really encouraging on stepping back, taking a deep breath, and starting a new day as an attorney practicing mindfulness, loving myself, and loving those around me. I appreciate the encouragement and the time spent preparing for this CLE!

First speaker was good but the second speaker was just excellent. Really enjoyed his talk and the truths he imparted. Well done.

I applaud you for being willing to share something different in an ethics course which has the potential to help me be a better person and a better lawyer if I am willing to do something about it. Thank you.

I appreciated the honesty from the presenters in this course.

Outstanding presentation. One of the best CLEs I've viewed/attended.

I appreciated the first speaker's information on applications for mindfulness. I intend to use one of them. The second speaker's advice was right on point, and it was gratifying to learn that there are other lawyers with family issues similar to mine.
