The purpose of this course is to educate the participant on basic fire science; that is, the elements needed to have a fire and how fires grow and spread. It then discusses the methodologies used to determine the origin and the cause of the fire and the elements required to sustain a proper opinion as to where the fire started and what the cause or mode of failure was that led to the fire. The course explains the rules of the Scientific Method that are used to properly investigate any fire. Attendees will find value in this seminar due to the court requirements that the origin and causes of fires need to be shown with scientific certainty prior to any other action that is taken to defend against fraudulent claims or to recover against a product or individual through subrogation.
