Non-Smoker Protection Act

Description: For the first time in Tennessee's history, the State has banned the use of tobacco products in the workplace. The Tennessee Non-Smoker Protection Act (the "Act"), effective October 1, 2007, has several mandatory provisions that place burdens on employers with four or more employees in regard to smoking and the workplace. With the date for compliance right around the corner, this teleseminar will break down the ground breaking legislation.

Vance W. Cheek, Jr. of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC who lobbied the Act will review the legislations history, the impact on businesses, compliance, and a few surprises (No more smoking in business vehicles). He'll also review what modifications and amendments are already being whispered about down at legislative plaza.
