The Real Estate Law Section is providing a look at the advancements in the industry regarding eNotarization as well as eClosings and remote witnessing.

Join Joseph Kirkland and Nancy Pratt, eNotary Vendor and discover ways to incorporate “e” functions into your operations and learn the new way of notarizing and witnessing documents. 

This seminar will cover the history in Tennessee of eSign and UETA, what is electronic signing, the Tennessee RON statute and rules including how to become a RON Notary and platform and vendor choosing, security measures, what is KBA, what is credentialing, what a RON looks like, Executive Order 26 including “RIN/AVN” signing and witnessing and those requirements, proper RON acknowledgements and jurits, recording of RON/RIN signed or witnessed documents.  

Materials included are the presentation slides, the eSign law in Tennessee, UETA, the RONJ statute in Tennessee and the regulations adopted by the Secretary of State, and other statutes and forms.
