This program will explore the basic tenants of first party insurance and how the appraisal process works in the context of first party insurance claims, both before litigation and during litigation. This includes the process for naming appraisers, selection of an umpire, and the authority of an appraisal panel including counsel’s role before, during and after the appraisal process.
