Biography

National healthcare providers have called upon Cindy Reisz for her transactional and operational experience. Her extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry and its regulatory framework allows her to structure complex deals, such as joint ventures, acquisitions and de novo development of facilities and healthcare services that comply with federal and state healthcare laws.

Cindy is active nationally in the healthcare industry, currently serving on the Board of Directors of the American Health Lawyers Association. Recognized by Chambers USA for her work in the healthcare industry, Cindy is praised as "superb and consistent" and highlighted for her "wide-ranging skill set." (from Chambers USA 2013) She works primarily with hospitals, ancillary service providers and large physician groups in her practice, which involves:

  • Structuring joint ventures, management relationships and provider networks for the provision of various healthcare services. 
  • Analysis of fraud and abuse and other regulatory issues arising in structuring joint ventures and in operational matters affecting healthcare providers.
  • Negotiation of post-acute care management, disease management and care enhancement service agreements with health plans and self-insured employers.
  • Representation of hospitals and physician group practices regarding fraud and abuse, physician self-referral and fee-splitting issues, including structuring physician financial arrangements and compensation methodologies. 
  • Review of various operational issues applicable to healthcare facilities, such as licensing, Medicare certification, medical staff bylaws and Medicare reimbursement matters. 
  • Representation of both purchasers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions of healthcare companies. 
  • Development and implementation of corporate compliance programs. 

Her vast involvement with industry-related organizations and her deep understanding of healthcare's ever-changing regulations allow her to provide valuable and efficient guidance for her clients.
