Biography

I am licensed in Tennessee and Arizona. My main office is in Nashville. I also have an office in Tucson.

I have been a trial attorney for 35 years and have been blessed to meet and represent some wonderful people and families throughout those years. During that time, I've been honored to receive several awards and recognitions.
Notable Verdicts:
Oct 2014: $5,000,000.00 (Davidson County: Medical Malpractice) for wrongful death of 22 month old from undiagnosed Tick Infection
June 2014: $2,960,000.00 (Rutherford County: Automobile Wreck) for injuries sustained by Scott Summerville and the wrongful death of Mr. Jackson following a wreck on I-24 in Murfreesboro. (Jackson family represented by Bill Ramsey)
Part of trial team at former law firm in March 2010 where we obtained a $22,000,000.00 (Chattanooga - Federal Court: Medical Malpractice) verdict for injuries following a surgery for a broken leg.  2022 Lawyer of the Year (Nashville) - Plaintiff Personal Injury2020, 2018, 2015 and 2012 Lawyer of the Year (Nashville)- Best Lawyers - Plaintiff Medical Malpractice
I limit my practice to helping individuals and families with personal injury and wrongful death claims, medical negligence matters, product liability cases and automobile/bus/tractor-trailer litigation.
Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers; Fellow, International Academy of Trial Lawyers; Member, American Board of Trial Advocates; Past President of the Tennessee Association for Justice. Member: Circle of Advocates, Tennessee Bar Foundation and the Nashville Bar Foundation. Senior Counsel member of the American College of Barristers. Appointed by the Tennessee Supreme Court to serve as a hearing officer for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.
Experience includes multiple presentations to lawyers, legal professionals, health care professionals and judges; featured guest Editorialist for The Tennessean on Nursing Home issues; and have testified numerous times before State House and Senate Legislative Committees.
