Biography

Kim Harvey Looney is a partner at Waller Lansden. Ms. Looney provides counsel to hospitals, physician groups and outpatient services providers on day-to-day operational issues related to recruitment and employment and maintaining ongoing compliance with Stark and anti-kickback regulations. She also assists hospitals and physicians with medical staff issues. Ms. Looney works with healthcare providers on Medicare and Medicaid (TennCare) enrollment and reimbursement issues. Ms. Looney assists physician groups, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, home health agencies and other provider facilities in operational, licensing and regulatory issues. She has extensive experience preparing certificate of need (CON) applications and representing clients in CON administrative hearings. She currently is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward White, Inc.). She was also recognized in the Nashville Business Journal's Best of the Bar.
