Biography

Ken Besser has led an interesting life on the way to this forum. Reared in Natchez and Vicksburg, Mississippi, he graduated a year and a half early from high school, obtained a Bachelors of Science in chemistry, attended medical school for two years until he chose staying married to a doctor instead of becoming one, and then segued through the University of Memphis School of Law where he served as not one but two editor positions on Law Review before graduating cum laude in 1990. After working three years at Burch, Porter & Johnson, Besser shifted to the daddy track and transitioned to a part time solo practice predominantly working virtually in Memphis while he raised six children as he moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1996, Israel, in 2004, Baltimore, Maryland, in 2005, and back to Memphis, in 2008.

Since returning to Memphis, Besser has focused on Lifecycle Lawyering" wherein he focuses on integrating clients' personal, business, and legal spheres by applying simple legal solutions to their lives' common legal issues.

One particular area of law in which Besser has focused is providing clients with easy inexpensive divorces by handling a plaintiff client's initial intake via an online divorce workbook and merging that data into a full set of legal forms necessary for prosecuting a divorce from the initial complaint through the final decree hearing.
