Biography

Howard Herndon is a member of Frost Brown Todd LLC and leads the firm's payments industry team. He has significant experience as an adviser to emerging businesses, private equity firms and venture capital investors. His legal practice primarily is focused on the electronic transaction industry. For over twenty years, he has represented both public and private payments companies in significant industry transactions with values ranging from $100 million to well over $1 billion. His widely recognized knowledge in the payments industry broadly encompasses mergers and acquisitions, deal-structuring, operations, compliance, and development of technologies that utilize data mining and analytics for actionable intelligence. While based in Nashville, his practice is national in scope, and he has been engaged in significant matters abroad.
