Faculty Profile: Hugh Kendall

Hugh Kendall has practiced law in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for over 40 years. He practices in the areas of estate planning and the administration of trusts and estates.
He is a graduate of The McCallie School and received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Jurisprudence degrees from The University of Tennessee.
He is a member of the American, Tennessee, and Chattanooga Bar Associations, is a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Trusts and Estates Section of the Chattanooga Bar Association, and is a member and former Chairman of the Tax, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the Chattanooga Bar Foundation.
He is a past President of The Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga, the Chattanooga Tax Practitioners, and the Tennessee Federal Tax Institute.
He is a Fellow and Past Regent of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
He is listed in The Best Lawyers in Americar, the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyersr, and Super Lawyers of the Mid-Southr.
He is a former Chair of the Professional Responsibility Committee of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is a member of the Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker to professional groups on topics related to estate planning, the administration of trusts and estates, and ethics.
