Clifton L. Corker graduated from James Madison University in 1990 and the College of William and Mary Law School in 1993. After law school, Corker clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Cynthia Kinser in the Western District of Virginia. After working for a small firm for a year, he opened his own law practice in 1996, handling criminal defense, personal injury and general litigation matters in federal and state courts. Corker tried over 30 jury trials during that time period and has argued before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, Tennessee Supreme Court, Tennessee Criminal Court of Appeals and Court of Appeals. He was appointed U.S. Magistrate Judge in May 2015.
