Biography

First licensed in 1996, Mr. Long's practice has consisted of civil litigation, primarily insurance defense, at the trial and appellate level. He is licensed in state and federal courts throughout Tennessee and Kentucky. He has extensive experience in complex litigation, including medical malpractice defense, corporate litigation, healthcare regulatory law, and general plaintiff's litigation. Mr. Long is a Knoxville native and came back to law school at the University of Tennessee after receiving his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his career in Knoxville with a domestic relations law firm and moved on to specialize in health care law prior to coming to Lowe Yeager & Brown.

Mr. Long is very active in both the Knoxville and Tennessee bar association. He has served as president of the Young Lawyers Division for each of those organizations, has served on the respective Board of Governors for each body and currently serves as co-Chair of the KBA Membership and Membership Services Committee and Governor for the Eastern District of Tennessee for the Tennessee Bar Association. Mr. Long has built relationships with attorneys across the state which benefit him in his current practice of advising and representing other attorneys and law firms regarding ethical and licensing issues, handling complex litigation, and defending legal malpractice lawsuits. Mr. Long additionally maintains active personal injury and adoption practices.
