Biography

Rob McConkey is a member of the Tennessee Bar and has served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee since 2010. As the District's Affirmative Civil Enforcement and Civil Health Care Fraud Coordinator his primary responsibilities include oversight of the investigation and prosecution of civil claims under the False Claims Act, with emphasis on health care, procurement and contract fraud and abuse involving government programs. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, he was in private practice for 5 years handling commercial and general litigation, and served for more than 8 years as a Deputy Law Director in the Knox County Law Director's Office. Mr. McConkey received his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, and his bachelor's degree in business administration from East Tennessee State University.
