Biography

A former defense lawyer who clerked for an appellate judge out of law school and previously represented health care providers and Fortune 500 companies, Parke limits his practice at this time to the representation of families and individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries.

Parke’s legal practice spans the entire state of Tennessee and he is one of the few attorneys in Tennessee to obtain seven-figure verdicts or settlements in each of Tennessee’s three grand divisions (Western/Middle/Eastern). Since 2003, Parke, serving as lead counsel, has obtained more than $70 million for his clients--these are real numbers that were actually collected. Parke has handled cases involving medication errors, bed sores, severe dehydration, facility elopement and sexual assault in the health care setting as well as catastrophic personal injury matters involving premises liability, negligent tractor trailer operators, drivers who have fled the scene, and insurance companies refusing to pay submitted claims.
Serving as lead counsel, Parke obtained the first nursing home negligence verdict ($900,000 verdict-$75,000 defense offer) in the history of Shelby County (Memphis), Tennessee. In 2018, Parke was lead counsel in the first medical negligence verdict in the history of Gaston County, NC ($511,000 verdict--zero offer through trial) and in November, 2018 Parke was co-counsel on a $2.75 million verdict (zero offer through trial) against an insurance company for denial of benefits stemming from an arson fire.

Parke is a frequent state-wide lecturer for the Tennessee Bar Association and also maintains an active pro bono practice involving wrongful eviction/consumer protection.
