BiographyMr. Chalos is the managing partner of the Nashville, Tennessee office of Lieff, Cabraser. He represents individuals and businesses who have suffered losses due to fraud and other economic wrongs, as well as individuals who suffered catastrophic personal injuries. Mr. Chalos has tried jury and bench trials in federal and state court.
He serves as co-lead MDL and trial counsel in In re: Whirlpool Front-Loading Washer Products Liability Litigation, (MDL No. 2001), serves on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee and as Federal/State Liaison in In re: New England Compounding Pharmacy, Inc., Products Liability Litigation (deadly fungal meningitis outbreak), (MDL 2419), served on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee and co-chaired the Expert Committee in In re: Navistar Diesel Engine Product Liability Litigation, (MDL No. 2223), and has served in leadership roles in a number of other state and federal centralized litigations.
Mr. Chalos has co-authored a book, Litigating International Torts in U.S. Courts, published by Thomson Reuters. He has also published a number of articles in peer-reviewed legal journals. He is a frequent speaker at legal seminars regarding a variety of complex civil litigation topics. He has been interviewed on national television news programs, including on Fox News, CNN, and CBS, as well as on numerous national and regional television and radio programs.
Mr. Chalos is A/V rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory. Mr. Chalos was named among the Best of the Bar" by the Nashville Business Journal, a "Mid-South Super Lawyer" and named among the "Best Lawyers in America."
Mr. Chalos earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 1995 and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1998.
