Biography

Tony Hullender is a Senior Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Medicaid Fraud Unit (CMFU) of the Office of the Tennessee Attorney General.  He has been with the AG since 2016. CMFU is responsible for civil enforcement of the Tennessee Medicaid False Claims Act. Prior to joining the Office of the Attorney General, Mr. Hullender was in-house legal counsel for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee for twelve years, including serving as General Counsel from 2011 - 2016. From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Hullender was in private practice with Miller and Martin, PLLC as a litigator in their Chattanooga office. Mr. Hullender also served in the U.S. Army for twelve years, attaining the rank of Captain.
