Biography

Jonathan Motley's entertainment practice includes helping artists, songwriters, producers, managers, and independent entertainment companies negotiate and enforce agreements and plan for long-term success with respect to business formation and operational guidance. In addition, Jonathan works with investors, businesses, and individuals in organizing business ventures to take advantage of opportunities while managing associated risks.  Jonathan's acquisition practice includes representing buyers, sellers, and financial institutions in the valuation and transfer of publishing and recording catalogues.  Finally, Jonathan frequently represents large international companies in negotiating, drafting, and implementing sponsorship and endorsement agreements. 

Jonathan obtained his law degree from Indiana University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was selected for membership in the Order of the Coif.  Prior to co-founding Safford Motley PLC in 2009, Jonathan was a partner with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings PLC.
