Joel D. Roettger is a shareholder in the law firm of Gentry, Tipton & McLemore, P.C., in Knoxville, Tennessee. He focuses his practice on wills, estates, and trusts. He represents individuals, entities, and charities in the areas of estate planning, estate administration/probate, trust law, taxation, business succession planning, tax-exemption issues and charitable giving. He received his B.S. summa cum laude, and his J.D., cum laude, from The University of Tennessee and his Master of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation from The University of Florida. Mr. Roettger speaks frequently on issues related to estate planning and estate administration. Mr. Roettger is a member of the Knoxville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations and the Knoxville Estate Planning Council (Board of Directors since 2010).
