Faculty Profile: Jason Ensley

Jason Ensley serves as Deputy General Counsel for Labor & Employment matters at Forward Air, a global transportation and logistics company with more than 5,000 employees worldwide. Prior to joining the team at Forward in 2022, Mr. Ensley concentrated his practice in the areas of employment law counseling and litigation, workers' compensation defense, supervisor training, workplace investigations, and employee handbooks. 

Mr. Ensley was a member of the Labor & Employment Group at Baker Donelson from 2002-2009, and he practiced at Wimberly Lawson Seale Wright and Daves from 1999-2002.  Mr. Ensley formed Ensley, Baker & Shade, PLLC with attorneys Philip Baker and Jason Shade in June 2012. 

Mr. Ensley is a past-Chair of the TBA's Labor & Employment Executive Council (2021-2022), and he has been listed as a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 mediator (civil) for more than 25 years.
