Biography

Staci Blackwell is Vice President and State Counsel for the Fidelity National Financial Family of Companies which consists of the national underwriting firms of Chicago Title, Commonwealth and Fidelity National Title Insurance Companies.  She shares underwriting counsel responsibilities for agents in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.  Prior to her employment with Fidelity, she was an attorney in the law firm of Harkavy, Shainberg, Kaplan & Dunstan PLC, where her practice focused primarily on real estate and mortgage related transactions.  Ms. Blackwell’s real estate experience includes all aspects of commercial and residential real property transactions and representing borrowers, lenders and developers in single family and commercial financing and refinancing. She has closed such loans secured by properties in Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Arkansas and Georgia. She is a frequent lecturer at real estate and title insurance-related continuing legal education seminars and courses.

Ms. Blackwell is a member of The Mississippi Bar Association (member, Real Estate Committee). She earned her B.S. degree, cum laude, from the University of Alabama and J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Ms. Blackwell is admitted to practice in Mississippi, Tennessee, U.S. District Court Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, Northern District of Oklahoma, Middle and Western Districts of Tennessee, Southern District of Texas and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
