Biography

Marcia joined the Tennessee Commission on Aging & Disability (TCAD) in 2022 to lead the Unlicensed Facility Registry and Legal Teams at the agency. Prior to joining TCAD, Marcia served as Assistant Commissioner over the Public Information & Legislative Office at the Tennessee Department of Human Services. Marcia is an attorney licensed to practice in all state courts in Tennessee and Mississippi, all U.S. District Courts in Tennessee and Mississippi, the U.S. District Court for the North District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court of the United States. She started her career practicing law, with a focus on litigation. While in the private sector, Marcia was a member of a national labor and employment law firm, representing executives, small business owners, local manufacturers and Fortune 500 companies throughout the Southeast.

Marcia received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

Marcia resides in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband Dustin, and their seven chickens.
