Biography

Ms. Shari Myers is from Boston, Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate degrees from Ithaca College, New York and The University of Madrid, Spain. Ms. Myers received her J.D. from the University of Miami, School of Law, Florida. She moved to Memphis in 2000, and began practicing law in Memphis in 2001. In 2002 Ms. Myers established The Myers Law Firm, which she still maintains today and continues to practice as a Guardian Ad Litem, dedicated to representing the best interest of children in cases of divorce, post-divorce, severe abuse and neglect, and termination of parental rights. While practicing Family Law, Ms. Myers has lectured for the Memphis Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys, and other organizations with respect to the role of the Guardian Ad Litem, Supervised Parenting Time, and Family Law Updates. From 2008-2009 Ms. Myers served as board member on the Memphis Bar Association's House of Delegates, representing the Family Law Section of the Memphis Bar. From 2008-2009, Ms. Myers served on the boards of the Memphis Bar Association's President's Round Table and Judges & Bar Presidents' Committee. Ms. Myers was on the board for the Association for Women Attorneys (AWA) from 2004-2011. She served as President of the AWA from 2007-2008. Ms. Myers also served on the board for Memphis Area Legal Services (MALS) from 2007-2008. In 2009 Ms. Myers joined the Executive Board of the Tennessee Bar Association, and in 2011 and 2012 Ms. Myers served on the Tennessee Bar Association's Family Law Code Committee. In 2013 Ms. Myers served as Chair for the Family Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association.
In 2014, while continuing to serve as Guardian ad Litem in her law practice, Ms. Myers founded A Family Connection, Inc., an Off-Site Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange business that serves Memphis and the Mid-South. The business continues to grow with great success and respect, and is the only successful off-site professional supervised visitation service for the area. A Family Connection is certified by and has Supervisors trained by both the "National Supervised Visitation Organization" and the "Worldwide Supervised Visitation Network."
Ms. Myers has also been a guest on the television show, A Question of Law with Judge Kay Spalding Robilio, as an expert on the TN Supreme Court Rule 40A and other Family Law matters.
Ms. Myers currently lives in Germantown, Tennessee with her husband, Daniel. They have three children: a twelve year old boy and boy/girl twins who are 6 years old.
