Biography

Lawrence "Larry" Magdovitz, II practiced with the Law Offices of Lawrence Magdovitz and now operates The Magdovitz Group, a nationwide real estate enterprise which pays way better than the law ever did.  Magdovitz was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, but don't hold that against him.  He received his B.A., cum laude from Boston University in 1997, his J.D., cum laude from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2000 and his LL.M. in Taxation, just barely from NYU in 2001.  He began practicing law with Phelps Dunbar, LLP in Tupelo, MS before joining his father's law firm in Clarksdale.  He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in the States of Mississippi and Tennessee as well as the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.  His practice focused on general civil litigation, business law and taxation.  Magdovitz is a past Bar Commissioner for the 11th Circuit District of the Mississippi Bar Association and is a past president of the Coahoma County Bar Association.  He is also actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He is married to a woman who would prefer to remain anonymous and they have three children, only one of whom still thinks her dad is cool, but is growing out of it quickly.
