Biography

Ms. Putnam was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 12, 1975. She graduated from the University School of Nashville, June 1993, attended Boston University and graduated from Vanderbilt University in December 1997 with a Bachelor of Science. Ms. Putnam obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in May 2001. While in law school, Ms. Putnam served as summer clerk for Judge Hamilton Gayden, Circuit Court Judge of Davidson County, in addition to serving as law clerk for Kay Farese Turner from January 1999 until she graduated in May 2001 and accepted an Associate position with Ms. Turner. 

Over the course of the next ten years, Ms. Putnam practiced law with Ms. Turner in Tennessee and Mississippi as Turner Putnam, with her practice being primarily focused in the field of family law and litigation. Additionally, Ms. Putnam has an active appellate practice in both Tennessee and Mississippi and has appeared before the Western Section of the Tennessee Appellate Court in Jackson, Tennessee, as well as the Supreme Court of the State of Tennessee, and the Appellate Court and Supreme Court of the State of Mississippi. 

In June 2010, Ms. Putnam started the Putnam Firm located in mid-town Memphis, Tennessee. Ms. Putnam is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers' Association, and the Vanderbilt Alumni Association. Ms. Putnam resides in Memphis, Tennessee with her three children.
