Biography

Kristin Husat serves as Assistant Commissioner & General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Revenue. As Assistant Commissioner, she supervises the Department's Legal Office, Hearing Office, and Collection Services division. Ms. Husat joined the Department as a tax attorney in 2005, after practicing federal tax and business law for three years with the Nashville law firm of Sherrard & Roe, PLC. Ms. Husat earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, and holds a Ph.D. in Italian Language and Literature from Yale University.
