Biography

Martie Lafferty is an attorney at Stein & Vargas, LLP, in Washington D.C. Martie remains based in Tennessee. Throughout her career, she has represented plaintiffs regarding disability rights issues including access to Tennessee's court program, access to Tennessee's Medicaid Waiver program, housing discrimination, service animals, access to medical services, and communication discrimination. She is also interested in LGBT rights issues. Martie received her Bachelor's degree from Centre College and her Master's and J.D. degrees from Vanderbilt University. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. She lives in Nashville with her wife and their two dogs.
