Biography

My initial interest in law came while studying genetics and biomedical ethics in undergrad. From there, I obtained my legal education at one of the top health law programs. I cut my teeth with a mid-sized firm in St. Louis (80 attorneys) and then moved back to Memphis to join the health care group of The Bogatin Law Firm representing a variety of providers and vendors. In addition to serving some great clients over these years and making partner at my firm, I was honored to serve as Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association's Health Law Section and as a leader for the Health Information and Technology Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association.
After 9 years with my firm, I was ready for a change and new challenges. I accepted an in-house position with a research company showing great promise to make a difference in the lives of patients and the Memphis business community. GTx was a great place to work providing many new responsibilities and experiences up through our reverse merger in mid-2019. Following that chapter, I am humbled and thankful to now be working on the in-house team at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, being active at Christ United Methodist Church, and volunteering with Le Bonheur Children's Hospital on its Family Partners Council and more recently on its Ethics Committee.
