Biography

Michael Gilroy is an attorney whose comprehensive practice includes estate administration and asset protection, frequently addressing long term care planning and complex business transactions. He has been corporate counsel for AutoZone, Inc. for six years. He was retained as a consultant by the State of Tennessee during the 2005 TennCare Standard disenrollment process and then retained as a former Assistant General Counsel for State of Tennessee Department of Human Services before returning to private practice. He has reviewed tens of thousands of Medicaid and Public Assistance eligibility appeals and has overseen the litigation of almost all of them to favorable resolution in both public and private practice.  He has been active in both Nashville, TN and Memphis, TN. He graduated summa cum laude with a BBA in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Memphis Cecil. C. Humphrey's School of Law with honors in Torts, Copyright and Business Organizations. He has been a member of the Tennessee Bar since 1999.
