Biography

Megan Moore is a Legislative Attorney for the Tennessee General Assembly, where she drafts legislation and gives legal opinions to state legislators in diverse areas, with an emphasis on taxation, transportation, and the state budget. Megan serves as the lead attorney to the Senate Finance, Ways & Means Committee and House Transportation Committee. She is a 2013 winner of the Nashville Business Journal's Forty Under 40" Award and a 2012 graduate of the TBA's Leadership Law Program ("TBALL").
Megan is a past Associate Member of the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court. In October 2013, Megan was a co-presenter at the TBA's CLE entitled, "Drafting Legislation for the General Assembly: A Pathway to Excellence." In September 2013, she presented a TBA CLE entitled, "Decoding the Tennessee Code: Mastering the Rules of Statutory Interpretation." In August 2013, she was a co-presenter at a CLE program on legislative drafting for executive branch lawyers and was a speaker at the Nashville Bar Association's 2012 Government Practice CLE Seminar.
She received her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law, and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from Hanover College. "
