Todd maintains a diverse practice counseling individuals and institutional clients in the areas of Healthcare Law and Business Law, Commercial Litigation. Todd routinely counsels physicians, physicians groups, institutional clients, healthcare facilities, healthcare entrepreneurs, and other healthcare providers on a variety of complex healthcare matters, including: fraud and abuse laws, regulatory compliance issues, drafting and negotiating healthcare contracts, medical joint ventures, practice management, physician and other employment agreements, healthcare organizational documents, human resources, non-competes, healthcare privacy and security issues, audits, overpayment disputes, commercial healthcare disputes, disputes with third-party payers, medical board investigation and licensing matters, and credentialing matters.
Todd routinely advises individuals and small and large corporate clients on issues ranging from general business matters and transactions to litigating complex commercial disputes in state and federal court. Todd has significant experience in business contract drafting and negotiating and corporate formation, governance, and related matters. In addition, he has represented individuals, financial institutions, contractors, businesses, and insurance companies in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters involving contract and business disputes, non-compete agreements, banking and commercial transactions, and other complex civil disputes.
Todd graduated from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Todd is active in the local and state bar associations, and held the offices of Treasurer, Vice-President and President of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association from 2007-2009. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, The American Health Lawyers Association and The Howell Edmunds Jackson American Inn of Court.
