Biography

Judge Ross Hicks serves on the Circuit Court for the 19th Judicial District (Montgomery and Robertson counties).  He was appointed to the bench in February 2002, elected in August 2002, and re-elected in 2006 and 2014.  Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Hicks practiced law in Clarksville for over 30 years as a partner in the firm of Cunningham, Mitchell, Hicks, Patton, Peay and Raconni.  Judge Hicks has served in the United States Army Reserve, as president of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce, and was a founding board member and former president of Leadership Clarksville.  Prior to his appointment to the court, he served as the attorney for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board for over 20 years and as a former president of the Tennessee Council of School Attorneys.  He is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee and has served on the Executive Committee of Leadership Middle Tennessee, Leadership Clarksville, and the Tennessee Judicial Conference.  He is a member of both the Clarksville Area and Springfield Robertson County Chambers of Commerce.
