Faculty Profile: Raymond Coss

Solo practice restarted May 2025.  Over 35 years legal experience.  Superior legal and working knowledge of all process- and product-related environmental, and worker health and safety regulations.  Last temporary assignment (through Latitude Legal): Served as the sole environmental, and worker health and safety regulatory counsel at Bridgestone Americas (June 2018 - May 2020).  Expert at translating complex regulations into user-friendly operational guidance and/or business alternatives.  Skilled contract drafter and negotiator.  Practical employment/labor/human resources knowledge and experience.  Implemented Bridgestone/Firestone's ISO 14001 program (international environmental management standard) throughout the Americas.  Common-sensical and straightforward, yet creative and open-minded when analyzing different risk positions and business propositions.  Highly skilled at using the most appropriate and effective communications, depending on who the communication is with (e.g., CEO, company associate, plant manager or director, manufacturing floor operator, governmental regulator).
