Faculty Profile: S. Madison Roberts IV

Matt represents businesses, individuals and local governments in the areas of Real Estate, Property Tax, Wills and Probate, and Business Law.  He has developed a niche representing tax sale investors, lienholders, and other interested parties in tax sale matters.  This aspect of his practice developed out of his work on behalf of Williamson County and the municipalities of Brentwood, Fairview, Franklin, Nolensville, Spring Hill and Thompsons Station in property tax matters.  His governmental work has allowed him to serve in leadership roles in the Tennessee Association of Property Tax Professionals ("TAPTP"), through which he has been heavily involved in molding many recent changes to Tennessee's tax sale and delinquent tax statutes.  He regularly consults with both governmental tax entities and tax sale investors on property tax issues, serves as an expert on property tax and tax sale issues, and has presented numerous times on property tax, tax sale, Bankruptcy, and related legislative issues.
